Authorities in Peshawar have launched a large-scale mapping initiative to identify illegally residing foreign nationals. According to official sources, over 100,000 individuals have already been identified through this process.

More than 90 dedicated teams—comprising police personnel, district administration, and relevant departments—have been deployed to carry out the mapping across the city. Over 200 police officers have been specifically assigned to support this operation. Additionally, holding centers in Peshawar and Khyber have been reinforced with 230 security personnel each to ensure smooth operations.

The district administration has confirmed that more than 160,000 Afghan Citizen Card holders have been traced. However, formal orders for enforcement action against illegal residents are yet to be issued. At present, individuals identified as undocumented are being encouraged to return to their home countries voluntarily.
