Webdesk: The company that made the popular robot ChatGPT, OpenAI has a huge offer. Company said that it would pay users up to $20,000 if they found bugs in its artificial intelligence systems.
The OpenAI Bug Bounty programme went live on Tuesday. People who report bugs will get prizes based on how bad they are, starting at $200 per vulnerability.
Bug bounty programmes are often used by tech companies to get engineers. As well as “good” hackers to tell them about bugs in their software systems.
Details on the bug bounty site Bugcrowd show that OpenAI has asked researchers to look at some of ChatGPT’s features. As well as the framework for how OpenAI systems talk to each other and share data with third-party apps.
The programme does not have any information made by OpenAI systems that is wrong or harmful.
This comes just a few days after ChatGPT was banned in Italy for breaking privacy rules, which led officials in other European countries to look more closely at generative AI services.
Since it came out in November, OpenAI’s ChatGPT has taken the world by storm. Some users have been impressed by how quickly it answers questions, while others have been upset by how often it gets things wrong.
