Pakistan Beats Ireland by 38 Runs in Women’s World Cup Qualifier

Lahore: Pakistan Women’s Cricket Team defeated Ireland Women’s Team by 38 runs in the first match of the ICC Women’s World Cup qualifying round.

Pakistan scored 217 runs, while Ireland was dismissed for 179 runs in pursuit. From Ireland, Gaby Lewis and Amy Hunter scored 44 runs each.

Pakistan’s Diana Baig took four wickets, Nashra Sandhu three, and Sadia Iqbal took two wickets.

Pakistan’s batting was led by Aliya Riaz with 52 runs, while Sidra Amin scored 51 and Muneeba Ali made 32 runs.

Ireland’s Jenny Maguire took three wickets, Arlene Kelly two, and Cara Murray took two wickets as well.

In the second match, Scotland defeated the West Indies by 11 runs, securing the top position on the points table.
