Webdesk: If appointed caretaker foreign minister, TikTok star Hareem Shah will boost SBP foreign reserves to $100 billion.

“If I am made the caretaker foreign minister of Pakistan for just six months, I will increase the foreign reserves of Pakistan from $8 billion to $100 billion dollars,” she wrote.
Social media users laughed at Hareem Shah’s assertion, while some said she could accomplish it.
Pakistan’s central bank reserves reached $8 billion in July after receiving funds from the IMF, UAE, and Saudi Arabia after a nine-month break. For the week ending July 14, Pakistan has $14.06 billion in liquid foreign reserves, according to the SBP.
