Webdesk: A bomb went off in a St. Petersburg cafe, killing well-known Russian military blogger Vladlen Tatarsky. It seemed to be the second time on Russian soil that someone connected to the war in Ukraine was killed.

While, The state Investigative Committee in Russia said it had started looking into a murder. The RIA news agency said that 25 people were hurt. 19 of them were in a hospital getting care.

Moreover, A high-ranking Russian official blamed Ukraine, but didn’t give any proof. A presidential adviser from Ukraine said that “domestic terrorism” was on the rise in Russia.

Tatarsky, whose real name was Maxim Fomin, had more than 560,000 followers on Telegram and was one of the most well-known influential military bloggers who supported Russia’s war effort in Ukraine while often criticizing the army’s top brass.

“We’ll beat everyone, kill everyone, and steal from everyone. Everything will go the way we want, “He said this in a video clip from September of last year at a ceremony at the Kremlin where President Vladimir Putin claimed four occupied parts of Ukraine as Russian territory. Most countries thought this was illegal.

Bomb in the Statue

A source who did not want to be named told the TASS news agency that the bomb was hidden in a small statue that was given to Tatarsky while he was speaking to a group of people in the cafe.

Mash, a Telegram channel with ties to the Russian police, posted a video that seemed to show Tatarsky being given a statue of a soldier with a helmet while holding a microphone. It said that a few minutes later, the explosion happened.

Denis Pushilin, who was put in charge by Moscow of the part of Ukraine’s Donetsk province that Russia occupies, said in public that it was Ukraine’s fault.

“He was killed in a bad way. They can’t do anything else. The government in Kiev is very bad. There’s no way to stop it except to destroy it “he said.
