Samsung

Webdesk: According to reports, three Samsung employees disclosed sensitive and confidential company information to ChatGPT on three separate occasions.

Following Samsung’s decision to permit its semiconductor division engineers to use ChatGPT. One of the engineers asked the chatbot to check the source code of a sensitive database for errors.

The second user requested that the chatbot optimise the supplied code. Whereas, the third user uploaded a recorded meeting in order to generate meeting minutes.

Given that OpenAI’s chatbot can use and share data to train the system and display it to other users. The employees of the tech company are in hot water.

Samsung has restricted the use of ChatGPT to a kilobyte or 1024 characters of text in order to prevent further issues and has launched an investigation into the matter.
