Webdesk: Shoaib Akhtar, a fast bowler who used to play for Pakistan and thought as one of the most dangerous bowlers ever, turned 48 on Sunday.

Akhtar had a 14-year international career, starting in 1997. He scared hitters all over the world with how fast and accurate he was.

Shoaib played for Pakistan in 46 Tests, and he took 178 wickets on average, which was worth 25.69 runs. 6/11 was the best number of wickets he took in an innings.

Akhtar took 247 wickets in 163 One Day Internationals (ODIs), for an average of 24.97 per game.

During the 2003 Cricket World Cup, he threw a ball at England at 161.3 km/h, the fastest ball ever thrown in cricket history.

After he stopped playing cricket, Shoaib Akhtar went into cricket broadcasting as a job. He often talks about the game on YouTube and other social media sites.
