Today, World Health Day is being observed worldwide with the aim of raising public awareness about health-related issues.
This day is celebrated every year on April 7th, in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO) and other relevant organizations. In 1948, WHO held the first World Health Assembly, and since 1950, it has been decided to observe World Health Day on April 7th each year.
World Health Day is celebrated in memory of the establishment of WHO and is seen as an opportunity to focus the world’s attention on important health issues. WHO organizes international, regional, and local events on this day. Various governments and non-governmental organizations also organize activities to raise awareness about public health issues.
World Health Day is one of the 11 major global health campaigns marked by WHO, alongside other important days such as World Tuberculosis Day, World Vaccination Week, World Malaria Day, World No Tobacco Day, and many others.
