Karachi: Both Pakistani players have reached the quarterfinals of the first-ever World Under-23 Squash Championship. In the men’s event, which is taking place at the DA Creek Club with a prize pool of $60,000, the two Pakistani players won their second-round matches on Monday without losing a single game, easily winning 3-0. Seeded 2 and World No. 67, Noor Zaman defeated Poland’s Jakub Petlo Wani, while the second Pakistani player, Seed 5 Muhammad Hamza Khan, triumphed over England’s Will Salter to secure a spot in the quarterfinals. It is noteworthy that all three Pakistani women players in the championship were eliminated in the first round.
