New Zealand has whitewashed Pakistan in the three-match ODI series. In the third and final match, New Zealand set a target of 265 runs for Pakistan, but Pakistan could only manage 221 runs and lost by 43 runs.
The series began on March 29 in New Zealand. In the second match, New Zealand defeated Pakistan by 84 runs, taking a 2-0 lead in the series. Pakistan had also lost the first match.
Due to rain, the final match was reduced to 42 overs per side. New Zealand scored 264 runs, with Michael Bracewell contributing 59 runs. Pakistan’s Aaqib Javed took four wickets.
During Pakistan’s chase, Imam-ul-Haq was injured by a bouncer and had to leave the field. The rest of the Pakistani batsmen’s performance was disappointing, and Pakistan was all out for 221 runs in 40 overs.
