Newyork: As the second Spotify EQUAL ambassador from Pakistan, artist Natasha Humera Ejaz has illuminated EQUAL’s digital billboard in Times Square, New York City.
As part of the celebrations, singer-actress Ejaz, who started her career at the young age of seven, will have her lovely track Khud Se Batein included on Spotify’s EQUAL Pakistan playlist.
The Spotfiy platform EQUAL Pakistan features some of the most well-known female artists in the nation and is almost done with its first year of introducing some outstanding local artists to the world stage.
When she was only seven years old, Ejaz started her career as an artist with PTV. But when her first single, Today is a Place, was released in 2010, it catapulted her into the mainstream of the music business.
She has since embarked on an exciting journey, creating some amazing songs to captivate her listeners as well as lending her vocals to Mehru in the eagerly awaited animated film Allahyar and the Legend of Markhor.
Ejaz expressed her joy at the accomplishment in the following words: “Until EQUAL Ambassador of the Month actually happened, I never realised what it feels like to have my voice amplified on the global stage.”
I can’t imagine living any other way, so I do what I do. Having the chance to share my passion with the world while also amplifying the voices of all girls is a great privilege, she continued.
Many of Natasha’s songs are favourites of the crowd, and several of them have been nominated for prestigious regional awards. Till The End Of Time and Khwab, among other songs, have both received praise for their strong vocal performances.
She also has a song called God In Me that has a sensational melody that touches listeners and tells her own story.
Natasha Humera has been a blessing to the industry with her music for as long as I can remember, according to Rutaba Yaqub, Senior Editor for Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh.
“She has helped so many of her fellow artists along the way and inspired them. She will now have a platform to advocate for women’s equity in the music industry, which we at Spotify are thrilled about.
