RAWALPINDI – ISPR said that Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir went to the port city of Gwadar. COAS visited city, on the southwestern coast of Balochistan on Thursday for a security briefing.
Army Chief was told about the security situation on the southwest coast, where CPEC, is located. COAS Asim Munir praised the formation’s operational readiness, CPEC security, and efforts to keep the area safe and peaceful, according to ISPR
During the visit, Gen. Asim was with Lt. Gen. Asif Ghafoor, who is the Chief Minister of Balochistan and the Commander of the Quetta Corps.
During his visit, the top general praised the work and told everyone to keep working for the people of Balochistan. COAS also talked to local leaders and elected officials. He said that misguided people can’t stop the people of Balochistan and the Armed Forces from working to keep peace in the area.
ISPR said that when the COAS spoke at a local event, he focused on the social and economic development of the sparsely populated region and announced projects to help with education, health, sports, and making a living.
