KHAR, BAJAUR: A Tali man was jailed for posting a hoax about a British woman visiting Salarzai Tehsil in Bajaur, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, to see her Pakistani buddy.
“For the love of Mohammad Ishaq from Salarzai, Bajaur, a British woman named Ella reached Salarzai,” Mohammad Gulab posted.
He also included a photo of his pal Mohammad Ishaq and a random foreign woman.
The police arrived to protect the foreigner after seeing the post. But there was no British woman and it was bogus news. So Gulab arrested.
KP police claimed the Bajaur district police officer had apprehended the social media user who posted the bogus post. Gulab also charged with cybercrime.
