Quetta: For the first time in Balochistan’s history, a woman put in charge of the Jaffarabad area as the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP).
Faryal Fareed is from Haripur, which is in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP). On September 1, appointed the SSP in Jaffarabad.
The police party at the Jaffarabad district police office greeted SSP Faryal with flowers and salutes. The first thing she did when she got the job was call a meeting of her junior police officers and other cops in the area.
The SSP woman sent to a district on the edge of the province. It has always been hard to keep law and order on the National Highway.
SSP Faryal was also the first woman in the history of the Police Service of Pakistan (PSP) to get the “Sword of Honour.”
Her husband, Dr. Sami Malik, is also in the police force. He was sent to Naseerabad as SSP at the same time that Faryal was sent to Jaffarabad as SSP.
