Peshawar:
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has registered an FIR over the alleged abduction of PTI leader Sanam Javed following the directives of Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur. The FIR was filed at the East Peshawar Police Station by Advocate Hira Babar, daughter of Muhammad Babar Shoaib.
According to the spokesperson of the Chief Minister, Sanam Javed was allegedly abducted near the Civil Officers’ Mess Cantt in Peshawar. The Chief Minister has ordered a transparent and thorough investigation into the incident and directed authorities to ensure strict legal action against those involved.
The spokesperson added that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government is committed to upholding justice, the rule of law, and the dignity of its citizens through concrete actions, not mere slogans. “When the Chief Minister is strong, decisions are strong,” he remarked.
He further noted that while an FIR could not be registered even after an assassination attempt on Imran Khan during his own government in Punjab, the KP government took swift and decisive action in Sanam Javed’s case.
