Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held separate telephone conversations with the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia and Egypt to discuss the latest developments in Gaza, ongoing ceasefire efforts, and steps toward achieving lasting peace in Palestine.
According to the Foreign Office, Ishaq Dar and Egyptian Foreign Minister Dr. Badr Abdelatty exchanged views on bilateral relations, regional dynamics, and the worsening humanitarian situation in Gaza. Both leaders agreed on the need for a united and coordinated diplomatic approach among Arab and Islamic countries to ensure an immediate and sustainable ceasefire and the uninterrupted delivery of humanitarian aid.
Ishaq Dar reaffirmed Pakistan’s full support for these diplomatic initiatives, emphasizing that Pakistan will continue to work alongside Arab and Islamic partners to promote peace and stability in Gaza. He also invited his Egyptian counterpart to visit Pakistan, an invitation that was warmly accepted.
Separately, Ishaq Dar spoke with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud. The two discussed ongoing diplomatic efforts related to the Gaza conflict, including Hamas’s response to U.S. President Donald Trump’s proposed peace framework.
Both sides reiterated their commitment to the Palestinian cause and agreed to maintain close engagement with Arab, Islamic, and international partners to achieve a fair, comprehensive, and lasting peace based on the two-state solution.
Ishaq Dar praised Saudi Arabia’s constructive role and continued engagement, reaffirming Pakistan’s unwavering support for the legitimate rights and self-determination of the Palestinian people.
