Karachi: The authorities detained a school principal on Monday for rape and blackmail. A private school in Karachi’s Gulshan-e-Hadeed employs the suspect.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) for District Malir Hassan Sardar said the school head blackmailed victims using CCTV video. Police found 25 such videos in the school principal’s office.
“Five women have reported being victims of the person under investigation. Victims are also providing vital information “SSP Malir added.
Sindh Education Minister Rana Hussain formed a four-person investigative commission from the event.
The inquiry committee led by Deputy Director Qurban Bhutto includes Assistant Directors Mumtaz Qambrani, Zaid Magsi, and Javed Qazi, according to Additional Director Registration.
Following the incident, Sindh Riffat Mukhtar, the Inspector General of Police (IGP), has requested a comprehensive report from the Malir police officer.
Governor Kamran Tessori has ordered Secretary School Education Sindh Ghulam Akbar Laghari to give a detailed report on the event.
While, Sources stated the governor has ordered Additional IGP Karachi Javeed Akhter Odho to sue the perpetrators.
Moreover, Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab promised proper legal action over the incident in a statement.
A Rawalpindi woman raped in Benazir Bhutto Hospital’s x-ray room last month. In her Waris Khan Police Station FIR, the victim stated that she divorced and had a connection with the suspect.
Moreover, Faizan Saeed, the suspect, is from Gujjar Khan, according to the FIR. The culprit invited the woman to the hospital, where he raped her in the x-ray room.
