Shanthi Priya’s Bold Move Challenges Beauty Stereotypes

Renowned Bollywood actress Shanthi Priya, who starred alongside Akshay Kumar in his debut film Saugandh, has shaved her head in a powerful statement against conventional beauty standards.

Sharing her new look on social media, Shanthi appeared in a beige outfit and wore the blazer of her late husband, Siddharth Ray, who passed away in 2004. She described the transformation as a liberating experience.

“As women, we often trap ourselves in invisible cages of social norms,” she wrote. “This change is a symbol of breaking free. I’m letting go of imposed limitations and reclaiming my identity.”

Shanthi admitted she had concerns that the decision might impact her acting opportunities but eventually chose courage over fear.

Wearing her late husband’s coat, she said she could still feel his warmth close to her. “This blazer still holds his presence,” she added.

Reactions online have been mixed, with some praising her bravery and others questioning the move. Her response was clear: “Don’t expect everyone to conform to one idea of beauty.”
