A fascinating story has emerged about the wedding of Indian cricket star Virat Kohli and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma. According to wedding videographer Vishal Punjabi, their 2017 wedding in Italy narrowly escaped disaster when a torrential downpour destroyed all arrangements just one night before the ceremony.
Vishal revealed, “The entire mandap and decor were washed away by the rain. Wedding planner Devika Narain and her team worked tirelessly through the night to set up a new venue and make sure the wedding went on as planned.”
He added that despite the chaos, Virat and Anushka remained remarkably calm and composed, placing complete trust in their team. Interestingly, the couple never even saw the new venue before the ceremony — a testament to their confidence and trust in their planners.
Vishal shared, “When I arrived on the wedding day, neither Virat nor Anushka knew me personally. Yet, they greeted me warmly, saying, ‘We don’t know what you do, but if you’re here, you must be good at it.’”
