Trump Reveals: India Was on Brink of Nuclear War, US Stepped In

Former U.S. President Donald Trump has once again claimed credit for preventing a full-scale war between India and Pakistan, stating that his intervention averted a potential nuclear catastrophe.

Speaking to Republican members, Trump said, “If I hadn’t stepped in, a nuclear war could have broken out.” He added that he warned both countries that if they didn’t stop fighting, the U.S. would halt all trade with them.

Trump also repeated a previous claim that five fighter jets were shot down during the recent skirmishes between India and Pakistan. His remarks cast doubt once again on India’s narrative of success in the so-called “Operation Sandor,” which New Delhi has used to project a military advantage.

This isn’t the first time Trump has publicly contradicted India’s claims. His recurring narrative has placed India in an uncomfortable diplomatic position and undermined its assertions about the conflict.
