In the NA-18 constituency of Haripur, following the disqualification of former opposition leader Omar Ayub Khan, Returning Officer Naveed Rehman has released the final list of candidates for the by-election.

A total of 13 candidates had their nomination papers approved, while one candidate’s papers were rejected. The list includes Shahrnaz Umar Ayub from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Babar Nawaz Khan, Pir Sabir Shah, Sardar Muhammad Mushtaq, Sahibzada Hamid Shah from Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N), and Aram Fatima Turk from Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).

The Returning Officer rejected the nomination papers of UC Chairman Abdul Rasheed Tanoli from Haripur. PTI’s objections against PML-N’s Babar Nawaz Khan were dismissed, and no action was taken against him.

Polling in NA-18 Haripur is scheduled for November 23, 2025, where a tough and competitive contest is expected between PTI’s Shahrnaz Umar Ayub and PML-N’s Babar Nawaz Khan.
