Gawadar: Maulana Hidayatur Rehman, the leader of Gwadar’s Haq Do Tehreek (HDT), taken on court grounds and has now freed after more than four months in jail.

The HDT leader was in jail because of an accusation of murder. On May 18, the Supreme Court of Pakistan gave Rehman bail in exchange for security bonds worth Rs300,000, but he could not get out of jail.

After the leader of the HDT went to court in Gwadar the day before, the judge sent him to the judicial lockup.

Rehman told reporters after being brought before the sessions court that the orders of the top court have not yet reached the sessions court, even though it has been five days.

The head of the JI said that he told his lawyer not to file any more petitions. “I take part in politics. I believe in the law and the Constitution. I’ve been in jail for four and a half months because I was wrongly accused of killing someone,” he said.

After he got out of jail, the leader of Haq Do Tehreek thanked JI Emir Sirajul Haq, his lawyers, Abdul Haq Hashmi, Lashkari Raisani, Humayun Kurd, and others for working to get him out.

The JI head said, “The fight for rights will go on in the future.”
